Amazon India uses several third party courier companies to deliver shipments across India. But they also have their own network, called Amazon Transportation Services (ATS), in all A-class cities and majority of other cities in the country. They take help of one or more courier services to ship orders to customer city and then to their delivery address.
Delay in delivery is very rare in Amazon Transportation Services. But if it happens, you need to contact the customer care of Amazon India because there is no separate customer support for Amazon Transportation Services.

About Amazon India and Its Transport Services
www.amazon.in was launched in June 2013 as a separate retail website of Amazon.com for its e-commerce business in India. Amazon India’s product lines available at its website include several media (books, DVDs, music CDs, videotapes and software), apparel, baby products, consumer electronics, beauty products, gourmet food, groceries, health and personal-care items, industrial & scientific supplies, kitchen items, jewelry, watches, lawn and garden items, musical instruments, sporting goods, tools, automotive items and toys & games.
Amazon India is now gearing up to play a role in the grocery retail sector aimed at delivering customer needs.
Amazon Transportation Services
Amazon takes delivery of orders very seriously and it knows that only those companies will survive in this market who can deliver shipments fast and secure. For this reason they have reduced their dependence over third party courier companies and decided to build their own network of transportation services across India.
The e-commerce giant has pumped in Rs 130 crore (about $20 million) in its logistics unit Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) in India as per a filing with the Registrar of Companies. This is Amazon’s second investment in ATS this year after the Rs 207 crore it infused in March. Speculations are rife that Amazon might be gearing up for drone deliveries in India. It would be interesting to see if this becomes a reality in near future.
